Volunteer with Australian Volunteer Coast Guard

You don’t have to have previous knowledge or experience of the marine rescue environment to become part of the team.

Volunteering with Coast Guard can take many forms, from vessel crews and coxswains, to radio operators or administrative staff. Volunteers respond to a variety of incident types, from ensuring people onboard a disabled vessel are returned safely to shore, searching for those missing at sea, to medical or other major emergencies. Your local Coast Guard Flotilla is part of a National Training Organisation that delivers both theory and practical training to its members throughout their Coast Guard career, with accredited qualification outcomes.
