Coast Guard is the half-yearly national magazine of The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Association, Australia’s largest independent boating education, search and rescue organisation.

All Coast Guard members receive the magazine which also is freely distributed at public courses in seamanship, readio operation and navigation conducted by the Association. The AVCGA draws on a wide base on contacts with the volunteer marine network and statutory rescue authorites to cover the safety scene. The organisation has access to the resources of overseas search and rescue and education groups such as the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in the UK and the US Coast Guard. It also is a member of the International Lifeboat Federation.
